I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!  We will be honoring our veterans at an assembly on Wednesday so please try to wear your red, white, and blue.  The poems we wrote to thank our vets will be given out then.
This coming week and next our math lessons will be good old fashioned addition and subtraction.  There will be lots of word problems in addition to straight computation. The kiddos have asked to have a math challenge folder that they can use when there are a few spare minutes so I will hunt up some "just right"  challenges that will allow everyone to enjoy math!

Following our unit on adding and subtracting larger numbers we are moving into multiplication, but our timed facts tests will not include multiplication until the 3rd marking period.
